Yeah, thanks Ingrid. Like the site. Couldn't help think of Emm as she uses 'randoms' frequently. I didn't realise that it was in common usage. However, even though I'm a grammar freak, I really enjoy the way the English vocabulary evolves. I find it fascinating. Still hate bad grammar! That's different.

Thanks for visiting our site. I too love watching the English language evolve (especially the way we Aussies add our own special touches...). Cheers, Ms Ellipsis.

Hi Ingrid and Tom, congratulations, great news to hear that you're engaged!! And that Belgians don't do that anymore is not true I think, every one I know that got married got engaged first. As for not really planning the wedding, we had a bit the same idea in the beginning, but now our big day is coming closer, we are so excited about it, it cannot be there soon enough!
Three kisses (belgian)style, from Annelies and Michael in Geelong.
Ah, also wanted to ask if you had an engagement party? And if so, what Tom thought of it, 'cause that is something we are not familiar with in Belgium.

Hi Annelies and Michael,
Thanks for your comment! We haven't gotten around to having an engagement party yet (tom is nog effkes bezig met tweede zit) but it is the intention to have one in september. I have mentioned it to some people, and they were a little surprised, but I had to reassure them that there was no need to bring gifts - just another reason to have a party! Where are you marrying? In oz? IF so, please let me know how you arrange for everyone to get there...
